Google Instant - Harmful for earth ??

Few months ago I came across an article in which Google tries to refute the results of a research done by Alex Wissner-Gross, a Harvard University physicist. Alex estimated that each Google earch produces around 7 grams of Carbon dioxide. Google estimates the figure around 0.2 grams. John Buckley, managing director of carbonfootprint.com, estimated that it can produce 1 gram to 10 gram or CO2 depending upon the complexity of search.

Well lets go with the numbers as stated by Google. (I don't know if there are updated figures, please let me know if so). Each google search takes around 0.2 grams of CO2, and saves a lot of CO2 by providing you so and so information because you don't have to waste energy in other processes to get the same information. Fine! But what about Google Instant. When a single search converts into more than 10-15 searches. As I know my average length of my search strings should be atleast 15 characters. Even though if it reduces by Google instant by 2-3 characters, I will still end up doing atleast 12 searches instead of one. And we are still not talking about typos and backspaces here. So how Google is thinking on saving our environment. I don't expect them to read this, as there are not many visitors to my blog, but I am sure they will find out this soon and will try to do something about this. And then all Google lovers including me will love it even more!

Getting Some Traffic - Dabangg, Salman Khan and Mumbai Attack

Strange title!!! What I am doing is something that Salman Khan did. Got some traffic for his latest release, "Dabangg" by commenting something which could become masala Item for media. I don't think it mattered for anybody what the comment was. For salman and movie financer/director/producer it was a popularity stunt to get traffic. For media channels its always like that. They could finally got some TRP from sports channel which agains spent millions of dollars by showing the now boring Champions League. For shivsena it was again something to show their presence in mumbai. I somewhere read a facebook like status (read facebookish status) - Shivsena likes Salman's apology for his comment. Awesome!!! Traffic for everyone... Profit for everyone...
and we also got to spend some time out of our boring life on this masala.

Best part is that I am also hoping some traffic by using all the above keywords in my blog. So I must say, comments like such should be rewarded lavishly.

Since you have read it I would like to tell you that I cculdn't was the movie for more than 3 minutes after Salman Khan's Entry. For detailed reviews you can use Google Instant. :)

Why I am back

Life's like maths but a little rounder... So problems you solved earlier might come back... and that too in more complicated form.

I think writing again can make me better again (read - I was getting corrupted in past few years).

And why I am not writing for myself again. Well this is an inspiration I got from someone. That inspiration is complicated, so I am just gonna say - If writing something can make me better, It might make you better as well.

And why should you read it!!! Not the above line, as you might feel differently. Read if you get some fun or ... some "goodness" !!!

Old Description of the Blog

One of my mathematics teacher used to say... "When I was in 10th i thought I knew all the maths, when I came to graduate level, I thought there is something I didn't know about, and when I completed my Phd, i knew that I dont know anything about maths." ... Adding to this I say... life's like maths.

Other than this description, I'll write here for myself. but you can always read and comment.
Enjoy...
